Verify Forest County Supervision

Forest County parole and probation records answer different questions after a person leaves custody. State parole can follow release from a Pennsylvania prison, while county probation comes from a court sentence and may follow confinement or replace it. To verify Forest County post-release supervision, first identify the sentence and then use the agency responsible for that form of supervision. A release date does not show that supervision has ended, and a supervision record does not prove the exact time someone walked out of a facility. Each fact must come from the office that owns it.

Forest County Parole Versus Probation

Parole is conditional release from confinement before the maximum term of a sentence ends. For a person leaving SCI Forest or another Pennsylvania state prison, the Pennsylvania Parole Board decides whether parole is granted, while state corrections and parole staff manage the release and supervision. Probation is a court-ordered form of community supervision. Forest County Adult and Juvenile Probation handles local probation under the 37th Judicial District. A judge may order probation without a jail term or after a period of confinement.

The distinction matters because the records live in different places. The PADOC parolee locator may show a state parole Release Date, district office, and current or permanent location. A Forest County sentence docket may show probation and its term. Neither source replaces the physical custodian's discharge record when the question is when a person actually left jail or prison.

Verify Forest County Post-Release Supervision

Start with the sentence, not a guess based on where the person lives. Search Pennsylvania UJS Case Information for the Forest County criminal matter. Read the disposition and sentence entries for confinement, probation, parole, minimum and maximum terms, and later orders. A Common Pleas entry can show what the judge ordered, but an online docket may not show the exact operational release time.

  1. Match the person by full name and, when available, date of birth, OTN, case number, or SID. Similar names can produce a wrong supervision conclusion.
  2. Read the sentence language. If it orders county probation, contact Forest County Probation. If it concerns a state sentence and parole, continue with PADOC.
  3. Open the PADOC inmate and parolee locator. Use the parolee tab and a stable parole number when known, or narrow a name with date of birth and county or district office.
  4. Record the field labels exactly: Release Date, Current Location, Permanent Location, District Office, and Last Updated Time. Do not turn the Release Date into a projected date or final discharge date.
  5. For the parole decision itself, use the person's Board Action through the proper Pennsylvania Parole Board contact or record route. Confirm a local probation term with the county office.

A person can leave custody and still remain under supervision. The reverse is also possible: a probation sentence does not prove that the person was first confined. For the broader custody and release-record path, the Forest County released-inmate search separates court authority from physical movement.

The official PADOC search interface shows separate inmate and parolee functions:

That split helps prevent a current state prisoner from being mistaken for a released parolee and keeps a county probation case out of the state-prison search.

Note: PADOC says its public locator updates daily, so confirm urgent or sensitive status with the responsible state office.

Forest County Probation Office Access

Forest County Adult and Juvenile Probation is the local office for county probation. Its role is supervision under a court order, not operation of a jail and not publication of a release list. Call first to ask which public-information or records route fits the question. An office contact cannot be assumed to disclose protected details about a person's supervision.

The Forest County probation page is the source for these contacts and hours. The Monday evening Marienville location is useful in a rural county, but it is not a promise of walk-in access to another person's file.

Its local office details belong with probation questions, while state parole questions follow the district office or contact shown in PADOC records.

Forest County Supervision Status Changes

Conditions are rules attached to parole or probation. Their exact terms come from the governing order and the supervising agency. A violation allegation can lead to review, a warrant, detention, or another recorded action, but the outcome should not be inferred from an old release record. Forest County publishes no county absconder list in the reviewed official material.

The PADOC parolee record can display “Wanted: Parole Absconder.” An absconder is a person alleged to have stopped reporting or otherwise left supervision without authorization. That flag describes a later state-parole status. It does not erase the earlier release. Because such data can change, confirm it directly with the state office before relying on it for a current custody question.

A new supervision warrant can result in custody after an earlier lawful release. Keep the events separate. Record the original release date, the later status label, and the agency reporting each event. Forest County does not publish a local absconder list, so a county probation concern should go to the local office and the issuing court. A state-parole flag belongs with PADOC and the Pennsylvania Parole Board. Neither route should be used to infer facts outside that agency's record.

PA SAVIN may send notice of a release, escape, or movement involving county jails, state prisons, or state parole. It does not publish a complete supervision history. A VINE movement event may be a transfer, and an alert never proves that a warrant was cleared. The reporting custodian remains the best source for its own custody action.

Forest County Supervision Discharge Records

Supervision ends through an official discharge, expiration, court order, or other action authorized by the governing sentence and law. A parole Release Date marks release to conditional liberty. It does not mean the state sentence ended that day. Likewise, the end date printed in an old probation order may be changed by later court action. Use the latest agency or court record.

For county probation, begin with the Forest County sentence docket and the issuing court. For state parole, preserve the parole number and request the appropriate PADOC or Parole Board record. If the public locator no longer returns a fully discharged person, absence alone does not prove either discharge or error. The agency record is needed.

Pennsylvania's public locator has limits. It serves current state inmates and parolees and is not promised as a permanent archive for all completed cases. UJS also withholds sealed, expunged, and Clean Slate limited-access matters from public search. A missing result can therefore reflect scope, timing, identity matching, or a lawful access restriction.

The Parole Board's public process pages explain decision factors, but the research found no public statewide hearing calendar or searchable results database. A specific outcome must come from the person's Board Action or the proper Board record route. The official PB-41 application is a filing route, not a public result search. Keep a grant, denial, deferral, rescission, institutional release, and final discharge under their exact labels. They mark different stages and may carry different dates.

SCI Forest Reentry Is Not Parole

SCI Forest has a Reentry Service Office for people within 18 months of a minimum or release date. Reentry Parole Agents coordinate transition information, workshops, and community links. That work can help prepare a person for a move back to the community, but it does not set a release date and is not the Pennsylvania Parole Board.

The distinction protects against a common timing error. Entry into reentry programming is not proof that parole was granted. A judicial minimum is an eligibility point, not an appointment to leave. The individual Board Action and PADOC movement record remain the relevant records for the decision and actual institutional exit.

The official SCI Forest profile describes the Reentry Service Office and its role. Use that program information as transition context, while keeping release authority with the court, Board, and PADOC.

Correct Forest County Supervision Records

A correction should go to the office that created the disputed data. If a Forest County court docket has the wrong entry, use the issuing court and UJS correction route. A PADOC locator issue belongs with PADOC. A local supervision record begins with Forest County Probation. Asking one agency to amend another office's record wastes time and can leave the real error untouched.

First save the exact field, date viewed, case or supervision number, and the source URL. Then gather the order or official record that supports the requested change. For an unknown local custodian, ask the Forest County Sheriff's Office which facility held the person. The physical facility owns its movement record; the court owns its order.

This routing rule is especially important in Forest County because the county site does not identify a county jail or contract facility. Shared administration with Warren County's 37th Judicial District does not prove Warren County held a specific defendant.

Note: Preserve the original status label and retrieval date before requesting correction, since a later update may change the public display.
